New videos! (They are short)

Now waiting for apple review!

The scenes I have shown are taken with fraps in-game, they took me an average of a few minutes (if that) to set up. They are at most 12,000 particles. My computer can handle 30,000+ particles at high fps, haven’t gotten the numbers for the iPad and iPhone but everything still looks really good at lower particle numbers.

Looks great! I think you should put this on Asset Store! I would buy it!

Hmm interesting! I hadn’t really thought about that. It’s going to require some work before you can drop a fab into a scene, but I am already planning on making this possible for settings saving and multi-shape scenes.

Is your interest to use this for special effects? I haven’t messed around with different particle textures yet, but I am definitely going to now.

Submitted for review!

Great job, I REALY like it!

Looks awesome!

awes…m

Thanks guys  , new videos up, teaser available for download.

Incredible.
Already thinking of how I could make some cool artsy game based in this.

How much?

Looks amazing, nice work man!

Particle Rage was partially inspired by The Polynomial actually! I felt that the game mechanics took too much of a front seat though. (It is actually an extremely good music visualizer but is not marketed as such)

As for how much, the mobile version will be free with the Torus costing 0.99 and Spectrum Visualizer costing 1.99 (With additional scenes being free)
I’ve been tossing around ideas on how to price the PC version, perhaps a flat price around 5 bucks. And if I can eventually get it greenlit by steam I could give buyers steam keys and use DLC, I really like the idea of being able to shop for the different scenes. As far as the asset store goes I haven’t really though about it and it will definitely require more work to be useful in that way.

Forums are up!

Thanks! I am trying to get it reviewed on RPS so more people can see it :), also going to get it reviewed on app sites obviously once its approved by apple.

Demonstration of the future picture to pixels scene

Multicore processing progress ~ 75%, my quad core computer now has the same performance at 90000+ particles as it did at 30000+ particles

Look very cool.
I don’t really “need” these particles, but I’m thinking if I can find a place for this stuff somewhere in my game… just for the look of it

Still not sure if it’s going to become a developer particle tool, its more a thing to mess around with and relax. If anything it may become a music visualization tool.

App status - Ready for sale!!! Wait took 5 days, it was in review since this morning and processed into the store at 3pm. Hopefully the quick review is indicative of future sale :). It’s not yet visible in the mobile store.

UP on the mobile store! Time for me to try and get reviews and stuff. First day stats - 299 downloads! 8 things were purchased but that might be from mostly my friends :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn awesome !!
Just downloaded it ^_^.

Kick ass stuff X_X, the editor is well done!

Made some particle for music stuff 2 years ago, but didn’t use it for anything :frowning:

There was a cool tutorial on particle and algorithm made with Unity a while ago… Can’t find it out >_</

Thanks sama.van! That particle stuff you did is awesome, I really like the stuff from the last third of the video. It looks even cooler from the editor view! Down the road I would be interested in integrating that stuff in a scene/few scenes, that is if you still have the project and it’s something you would like too.

Update - 5000 downloads and 44 IAP in three days :).
