Hello,
I made a blood spray and am trying to create a small puddle using sub-emitters. I am rendering the sub-emitter using Horizontal billboard and it is only visible from underneath the plane, I created another particle system which does this and that one works fine? Any help appreciated.
Pictures attached.
Thanks.
Perhaps check if your material is rendering 2-sided
How can I check that? I am using the default material and shader for the sub-emitter however. I have also included a picture of my rendering settings for the particle system if that helps.
Thanks.
The Default ParticleSystem material isn’t 2 sided, so try this:
- create a new material
- choose the particles/standard unlit (or surface, if lit) shader
- in the inspector for the material, tick the 2 sided option
- assign the material to your particle system instead of the default one
Thanks for the reply Richard. I created a new particle system with a double sided material / shader but I am now having different troubles with the sub-emitters not correctly spawning on the plane, they are spawning at different levels, stacked on each other (picture related). I can now observe the emissions from both sides however so that is good.
Both sub-emitter settings “On Death” and “Collision” yield the same result.
I
Solved, the sub-emitter shape was set to a cone.
