Particle system rendering Dark when looking at the light source

I’m having some trouble with my Shader for the particle System, each time I look at the particle
system(looking away from the light source) its all fine,
however when I look at the particle system and at
the light source it goes dark. This happens to the standard shader aswell. How do I fix this?

did you come up with a non-stupid (unlit?!) solution to this?

I think you have a (maybe double sided) Lit shader, so the faces looking away from the light source are shadowed. Try an unlit shader instead.
