I have a Particle System as a Weapon which shoots 1 particle at a time and I use OnParticleCollision to apply damage, however, I need effects when this 1 particle collides and Sub Emitters make that pretty simple and looks really good. The problem is that the Sub Emitters are triggering the OnParticleCollision methods too and I have no way to turn it off as a result sometimes I get 1 damage in sometimes I get 30 or so, I need help with this, any ideas? is this a bug?
As far as I’m aware, the subemitters should not trigger the collision message, because you have collisions disabled on them.
If you could report a bug (perhaps with a Debug.Log in the OnParticleCollision to prove your theory), we can investigate.

Okay, I’m doing that right now, I have question though.
Will the Bug Reporter send you my Project?
To know if I’ll explain how to reproduce in terms of it or just generally.
Yes the bug reporter will allow you to send your project. There is a link in my signature with info about the process. We strongly encourage providing a repro project, to help us track down the issue quickly.
Thanks again!
Perfect, Bug Report has been sent.
Great. If you reply here with the case number, it will help us track the connection between the bug and this forum post ![]()
