Particles always pink even with texture plz help

Im trying to make a rocket particle effect but my particles are pink, AND it says make sure read/write is enabled ON THE DEFAULT PARTICLE. And you cant edit that. so plz halp

Make a particle material and assign it. The particle effect gives pink initially.
