Particles are disappering after camera rotation

I have a simple 360° particle animation, the fps camera is located inside the animation. Once I turn the camera more or less 180° the animation disappears. I can’t see any particles in the game render anymore, but they are visible in the scene editor.
Particle orientation is set to “Face camera plane”

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Fixed, the game object scale was the problem!
