particles get scaled when using rendertextures

why do my particles get scaled when using a render texture for a rifle scope?
how do i fix this?

Is the fire a single particle with an animated flipbook / sprite? If so then you’re probably running into issues with Max Particle Size under the particle system’s Renderer settings. Set it to a value >2 for problem cases like this.
