Hey, I’m making renders and artworks in Unity, the other day I bought a new graphics card with RTX support, I tested HDRP path-tracing and was a bit disappointed that it seems to have been forgotten.
To begin with, transparent materials for some reason react to light and give shadows where they should not be, using 2d effects like smoke sprites becomes impossible, using Alpha clip is not an option in this case.
I would like to know if the development of Path-Tracing, the addition of decals, OpenVDB, a particle system like everything that is in blender is planned?
Hey, sorry for the late reply but the HDRP Path Tracer has not been forgotten at all.
I don’t have a well defined roadmap to share but for example, decals support is currently under consideration for 23.2,
