As Asset Store developers and using PayPal to pay out, if you live outside the USA did you know that PayPal takes 2.5% hidden currency exchange fee? From dollars to euro’s, or your country’s currency, and there’s no easy way arround it…
It would be better if we could choose to be payed out in euros instead of dollars if we live outside the USA (for euro countries). Will save us 2.5% currency conversion fee from PayPal for every transfer we make to our bank account.
Don’t use paypal, it does not protect consumers against fraud online purchases. Multiple bad experiences when digital goods not delivered properly and paypal refuses to refund.
Yeah, paypal sucks, but this isn’t a problem unique to paypal. If you live outside of the US and you get paid in US dollars, you’re gonna have to convert them to your local currency one way or another. Banks also charge a similar currency conversion fee. Even if you were paid in another currency, it would still have to be converted from USD at a cost before being sent to you.
I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something but there doesn’t seem to be any way around it.
