PC Module problems

Hi,

I’ve been fighting with Unity for a few hours now, due to an issue that has cropped up suddenly.

I’ve been working on the new Facebook platform on Unity 5.6.1f1. All was working fine, then suddenly the game wouldn’t compile, throwing errors such as:

The type or namespace name ‘Facebook’ could not be found ( are you missing an assembly reference ).

I then discovered that the Facebook platform in build settings has an error:

No PC, Mac & Linux Standalone module loaded.

I clicked Open download page, which took me to this…

I downloaded and installed that file yesterday, but today it’s not available. I still have the installer (UnitySetup-Facebook-Games-Support-for-Editor-5.6.1f1), so reinstalled it. However, it made no difference to the issue.

I then noticed if i clicked on PC, Mac & Linux standalone platform, which has always worked fine, it displayed the same message (No PC, Mac & Linux standalone module loaded).

I uninstalled Unity completely, and reinstalled the latest version, with all platforms selected (including Linux and Mac, however no Windows version is available to tick).

The PC, Mac & Linux standalone platform now looks like this:

It’s missing a lot of options compared to my Desktop install (which is still working currently), and the Facebook platform still displays the error.

I’m not sure what to do anymore, or why this suddenly disappeared while I was working on the project.

Thanks,
Graeme.

Update - I was mistaken about the file that it’s trying to download, it wasn’t UnitySetup-Facebook-Games-Support-for-Editor-5.6.1f1, it’s UnitySetup-Windows-Support-for-Editor-5.6.1f1.exe

So the issue appears to be that my windows support has disappeared and can’t be reinstalled.

I’m having the same issue, after I switched platform to Facebook my PC module seems to be uninstalled…
I can’t build, but the editor is still working
