I’m asking from a legal standpoint. In a game that has some scary/unpredictable elements I need to add some information scenes like PEGI age and warnings before the game starts itself for the people who have a bad heart condition. Where can I find correct information that has to be displayed in this kind of game? Game is meant to be released on Steam.

…no? This just needs a generic content warning. PEGI and other ratings require this to be on the store page and product packaging, not in the game itself.

By the way: In case you’re not aware, PEGI and ESRB are organizations so (as far as I understand) you can’t just pick the appropriate PEGI rating and add it to your store front. You’d actually need to submit it to that organization and have them officially rate it for you.
Obviously you can put whatever of your own content warnings and age ratings you want on your store page, but you can’t call it “PEGI” or use their logo or anything like that.
I think now you can actually get a free PEGI or ESRB rating if your game is purely digital. I’ve never bothered with that myself, though, so I don’t know how it works.
