LOL (possibly offensive to some ; )
Yeah, as soon as I saw that small robot in the glass dome in the beginning…
yep ; )
i really hope they can pull it off - looks fun (though they’re really not that far along from what i’ve read, i guess we’ll have to wait see)
I already tried pimping Unity to them, since I heard they’re using Torque. Not sure if they’ll go for it though. Honestly, I’m surprised they didn’t delete my post in the forum.
Well, at Matt pointed out on the IMG forums, they want a Linux target and that can’t happen with Unity. Which I have to admit is a good point.

Is it really so crucial to sell those extra 5 copies?
lol. honestly though, PA is real big with the slashdot (“but will it run linux?”) and arstechnica crowd, so i think in this one instance where that would pay off.
It’s out, and from what I’ve played so far, it’s awesome.

I’m most likely going to buy it, but I’ll finish the demo first to be sure.
Rad, thanks for the link Jessy!
Wohoo! Gimmeh!
I love it, and I bought it.
I’m playing with a tablet here, and with that, the control is fantastic. (The control scheme is similar to Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass on the DS, or Zack and Wiki on the Wii, which is click-where-you-want-to-walk.) I could see it being a lot less fun without that kind of input device, and considering most people are not going to be playing that way, I could see the review scores and opinions suffering because of it. If you have one available, though, it’s a real dream.
Just gave it my first go on a laptop (no external mouse) and it’s not so bad (although I can see how a tablet would be nice). That’ll give me something to work on mid-flight when I head back to San Francisco on Friday.
I picked up a copy of the 360 version (although I did try out the mac demo) and have to say that the game is amazing.
I really like the 360’s control scheme as compared to the point and click offered by the mac version (although maybe it would work better with a mouse then a trackpad). It would be nice if the mac version allowed you to switch the input to use keys instead (at least for those of us on laptops). I am going to try it with my tablet later on to see if that is better.

I just finished it. I thought it was pretty good, but the song at the end made me want my twenty bucks back. :?
It sadly needs 64MB of RAM, so not working on my Mini.

Yeah, it’s rather beautiful. It’s not pushing any “current-gen” limits, but it’s got ton of style. Also, because all of the 2D art is in vectors, it looks ultra-crisp at full screen resolution. I’d love to see that possible with Unity.
The gameplay is okay, but the graphics and humor are what really attracted me.
I beat it for the second time. I didn’t know two crucial things the first time through:
-
The enemies’ life bar will flash at the point you should hit the space bar. You’ll get a block or even counterattack if you perform it well.
-
Use a special move to kill an enemy to fill up your Overkill blocks, which makes your attacks stronger.
Had I known the right way to go about that stuff the first time, it would have been a faster and more fun process!
On the downside, the game crashed just when I was getting ready to put the finishing touches on the final boss. I’m not interested enough in hearing that dreadful end music to try it again.
