People asking for help and then never responding after receiving it

What’s the deal with that?

Who cares? Like, why does it matter?

Human psychology is why it matters. If I help you and you say thankyou, I am more likely to continue helping people. If you take my help and say nothing, why bother? Even a thumbs up goes a long way.

If you need constant validation to keep helping people, that sounds like a problem on your end. If I give somebody some help with something, I take them no longer replying as sign enough that the help worked.

I didn’t say me or anybody for that matter. On average, based on the study of human psychology, people tend to continue doing an action if they receive positive re-enforcement for it.

You literally said “I” repeatedly.

Well I think game programming is hard and time consuming and one can easily get stuck on a problem. Then when a solution is presented with no response I’m assuming the person just gave up rather easily on something they worked on for awhile which seems kind of strange or like you said they just forgot to reply it’s no big deal really.

Ideally they should post in the questions category, then just mark as the answer when it happens XD

Less work.

That’s a pretty catastrophic viewpoint.

What does that mean?

I mean that assuming that a lack of reply means somebody might have just given up easily on something is a baffling stance to take. That’s looking at a completely minor thing and extrapolating it to mean the worst possible outcome. Catastrophic viewpoint.

I’ll tell you what’s catastrophic is me spending this much time on a joke post. But right after the catastrophic part I’m think I said you could be right and the person just forgot to respond. I think I said that. Did I say that?
