Perforce Integration, TCP receive failed due to time out

Hello All,

I am experiencing an issue with the built in perforce integration (I’m running Unity 5.6.3f1 on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6)

I have all my user and server settings set correctly, so I am able to check out files just fine.

The only issue is that when I click off the unity window, work on something else for a few minutes, and then click back on the Unity window I get the spinning loading wheel for about 45 seconds and a timeout error message …

I’ve been searching for the cause of this issue to no avail and was hoping someone here might have an idea how to solve this

Thanks A Lot,
Alex Gilbert

Anyone have a suggestion or should i just look to use a different source control solution?

UPDATE:

It turns out this has something to do with using Azure…

I’m guessing its something to do with the “Load Balancer” which has a default idle timeout time of 4 minutes, which you can set, but only up to 30 minutes. Unity will sit idle for longer than that as I’m working on code.

I moved over to a Droplet Server and haven’t experienced any issues at all, thus far.

Thanks,
Alex Gilbert
