Hello,
The default Perforce Integration can be chosen in place of the old .meta file system. What does it mean? Does it mean that I should get rid of the meta files? If so, how does it manage the prefab relations?

Native Perforce is broken
so the native plugin is sort of working for me. So far everything works fine, except the fact that it doesn’t check out automatically modified scenes. My question, at the moment, is about if the p4 native integration, by design, substitutes the .meta file generation, and if so, how?
what, you got the native plugin working?
what unity version do you have?
For native plugin, I am talking about the Unity one, not the perforce one, in case this was not clear.
I tested on 5.3.1, p4 server version P4D/NTX64/2015.1/1171507 (2015/06/30)
Also the new beta Cloud hosting (please see my link from above) ?
I read and commented the other thread. We don’t use cloud hosting.
