Hi there,
normally developing on my PC. But needed to switch to notebook for a short time.
I have extreme performance issues and wanted to know why my fps are such low (between 15 and ~22 FPS)
My notebook has an i7 processor and a dedicated grafic card (AMD Radeon HD R7 M265, 2 GB DDR3) and also 8 GB RAM. I know this is not high end, but should definiatly be enough to run this game.
I did setup my switchable graphics to maximum performance (Running with plugged in powercable).
When i have a look at the profiler, there are the value for cpu and gpu. cpu is on 125,54 ms and gpu = 0 ms.
Correct me if i am wrong, but i think my games is still running on intel graphics hd?!
I attached a profiler screenshot. The whole workload is on cpu. Do i read this correctly?
Yeah, for me compiled project almost always uses integrated GPU(intel whatever, noticed that when playing other Unity games too) if I don’t specify dedicated explicitly in driver control while editor prefers to run on dedicated GPU.
General setting never worked for me(the slider performace-battery save one), I have to explicitly state what application must use dedicated graphics in Catalyst Control Center. If even that doesn’t work (happened to me once) - I suggest updating video drivers (fixed for me).
As Teravisor said, upgrading video card drivers might help. Make sure you get them from the AMD website and not through Windows device-manager. On rare occasion, I have also seen old sound card drivers to be the culprit as well, (it’s a bus issue.)
Hi, i already marked the unity app to run in max settings. Also on Battery mode. Did not solve the issue. I also installed the newest graphics card drivers.
When i disable the intel graphics card - Unity crashes immediatly after start. Other things work well.
I guess i will post this on AMD Forum. Looks like an Gfx-Card issue
Hi,
i opened a call by dell. There are graphic cards issues. Every Application i run on AMD runs on 0.5 FPS and crashes after a few seconds.
Best Regards
Marco
