Persian and Arabic text rendering is now possible in unity (PersianRenderer released)

Hey all
If you are making a game for a middle eastern country then you are aware of unity GUI’s limitation in rendering complex script texts of Arabic and Farsi.
using our solution which can be found here

http://en.mindhammergames.com/index.php/news/28-persianrenderer-is-released-in-asset-store.html

or more directly here

you can render Arabic and Farsi texts in OnGUI and in 3d text meshes and in GUIText in unity.

Good job

I have also this solution. if somebody want it then PM me.

@Ram
Isn’t it a better idea to start your own thread for this instead of puting it here?
I have no problems with it but in general it might be considered not that good.

Sorry ashkan.

As said before no problem for me at all. It’s not a huge amount of money and Asset store’s market is not the first source of revenue for devs but just some people might don’t like it, it was a friendly warning and nothing else.

Askan Actually i m new on this forum so i dont know this sort of things

Welcome!
The community is so friendly most of the times and you’ll learn soon however it’s easy to talk here and there is not much to learn.

Hopefully we’ll see great games comming out of your team.

I see in your documentation that you cant use the character لا with some fonts, but that character is the word “no” its too common to not use…what fonts will work with that character? we cant find any that will render a string that contains it.

@Matt The problem only exists with 3d text meshes. We are trying to fix it. Maybe the shape of the character is something the algorithm of the mesh generator can not work well with or another problem.

Thanks for your job … but will it be working on Nexus 5 ?
I have integrated some libraries to my project but Arabic letters not showing on some devices.
How can i solve it please !
Thanks in advance

Not working on Nexus 5 and OpenGl ES 3 devices
