It seems that a number of existing issues have been fixed (i.e. skin width) and performance has been increased.
Dare I say it, I wonder when we’ll see this in Unity.
Finally MultiCore CPU support… this is good news…hope this will be available soon in unity, with APEX…
Who knows, we might see it sooner than 4.0 a year from now as they’re now releasing official osX builds. No more Unity having to hack the gibson and compile their own versions.
Interesting though, that there is no mention of an fpu independent deterministic simulation. That was a big rumor being floated a year ago.
On one hand it is really needed to give Unity some more competitiveness in the PC market, on the other hand they reckon it’s a completely new API.
Yes, very good news. I’m sure it’s too much to hope that this might make it into 3.x, but it sure is needed!
