I opened this topic for Artists to show what they are working on. The Cool Images for Unity thread is a good thread, but its mostly for showing Unity Projects.
In this topic I would like people to show pictures of the 3D Models, Effects, Textures and everything related that dosn’t need to be in Unity or be for it. If you are working on a Project for Untiy, but you are still working on the Models, you can show them here and ask for comments and feedback.
The idea is pretty much that, people post their work, and other people comment on it.
I will start, I’ve been working on a new Character for GTA San Andreas (a Mod). I actually started it 3 months ago, but recently lost the files. Last night I got some inspiration and in 4 or 5 hours I made most of the model again:
Its Michael Jackson in his Smooth Criminal outfit.
I have a Head done by a friend. It was a Sculping program, and Im not very good when lowering the amount of polygons (it had more than 1 millon) or doing retopos. So I just used Polygon Cruncher on it Anyways, this is for a mod so it dosn’t matter if the geometry looks like crap on the head.
Good MJ model, but there is something I’m wondering, keeping in mind that I’m speaking out of my butt here. But that looks quite detailed for GTA: SA. I notice that in the actual game the character models don’t even have separate fingers on their hand, there more like crap claws.
Ah ok as I said I was speaking out of my ass. I just presumed it would be too detailed for SA and might not work. I really have no idea what I’m talking about though
Would look quite awesome in GTA 4, looking forward to seeing a textured version.
thanks!!! The clouds have 60 particles each… So In this scene I was getting about 20 FPS but I have a 2009 apple laptop… most of the frame rate drop is from the trees
okay , now i need this model.
Provide us with a download link with the animated model and no one gets hurt.
Id love to use it as a character in my game xD
This is awful compared to the truly talented artists, but I’m trying to make this also look like a toy gun, too. It’s the MK-1, the default gun from my current FPS project. The white spots I’m going to draw on and make look a little more like decals.
