Pie Charts in Unity 5 UI?

I am having trouble attacking the problem of making fast pie charts in the new UI system. I can’t use “Charty” because it doesn’t work well with the new UI system.

Can anyone give me a place to start? Some experiments with instantiating a new object for each degree of the slice seem inefficient compared to a more elegant solution that I probably haven’t heard of.

using Vectrosity 4 and its MakeArc and Draw3D abilities I was able to make a perfect solution.
