we have just submitted to the asset store a new package!
Piece of Land Vol.1 is a collection of area models concerning nature environments.
Every model cover an area starting from 15 till 300 mt. approximately .
The concept is to provide the developer , without the artists skill a way to build a nature scene without too much effort.
All the single model (rock’s,tree,plants) used to build the area model are included in the package.
In the package is included a tool to further customize the models.
Package Content:
-20 area models
-20 plants
-6 trees spring/autumn texture
-8 little rocks
-14 medium rocks
-7 big rocks
-4 cliff faces
-7 particle effects (dandelion,drops,fly,leaf,flying gull/swallow/vulture)
-1 management tool
-1 custom shader
-documentation included
All rock textures are at 2048x2048 resolution. All materials have normalmaps,detail normalmaps, detail texture.

the scene of the video is entirely builded with the models included the package( except for the skeleton and warrior).
For the camera we have used some effect, principally desaturate and color curve.
Expecially desaturate can give nice result.

Do I understand correctly, that instead of the more traditional “rocks, trees, plants, etc”, you offer “pieces of land” that can be attached together for quick level building? Or I am misunderstanding the package?

yes the idea is to provide area model’s (called by us “piece of land”) that can be placed together to help developer without artist skills to build a nice looking natural area without too much effort.
The scene of the video is entirely builded with some of this “piece of land’s”, the time to build it was very short.
Naturally every model can be used alone in a scene, and you also have the single pieces(rocks, trees, plants) used to build up the area model.

the package is not yet released in the asset store, is under review process from Unity.

all texture used for rocks and ground (the mesh used for the model not the unity terrain) are at 2048x2048.
What you see in the picture is with the standard Unity setting for import (1024x1024).
I prefer to show the package with the default settings because i think that the majority of the users will use this setting for performance reason.
Naturally, at user discretion, the resolution can be raised.
We use a standard diffuse texture + a detail texture for finer detail.
