Surprisingly fun for being so simple. Though I think it would feel better if that lower part of the screen was less of a lip. Perhaps leave the collider as it is, but maybe make a slant at that part so less gets covered from the user. I discovered I could actually click though that lip of wood obscuring my sight, but it did bother me. I hope you know what part I’m talking about, as it is hard to describe.
And you guys must have built some censorship into the high score because I’ve tried like 3 inappropriate names and no dice!
thank you for your opinions! I hadn’t thought of that lip, but you are right. I made it so clicks only affected the gem layer and not other game objects for that reason, but it does indeed obscure. so that correction will probably end up making it to the next version!
as far as the inappropriate names on the leaderboard, I actually didn’t know! The leaderboards are provided by dreamlo.com which is an AMAZING asset here in Unity. I also used those for our other game, Keepsies! Dreamlo’s stuff indeed doesn’t allow inappropriate names thankfully, as that wasn’t something I had thought of.
