Pivot/Center and Local/Global buttons not present

Posting this message here might be erroneous but I can find no clear guidelines or information. I found another post on this matter and the answers were, how to put this politely, less than helpful.
So here is the issue, during the course of watching a tutorial on Unity I was instructed to navigate to the global/local and pivot/center buttons because the grid/snap buttons were located directly to the right of those buttons. Unfortunately they were not there in my version. I found an existing forum post entitled “pivot button gone?” from June 2022. There are two responses to that question. One explains the nature of those two dialogs and the other just states "
They just changed what it looks like. It’s part of scene view and it’s a small squarish button now without the words."
The second one gave me a clue but no real directly as I could find no existing buttons that fit the answerer’s “description”. I did how ever find a solution although I do not know if this was the correct way to go about this or if I have somehow missed the other answerer’s described buttons. Once I discovered a potential solution, I tried to reply but could find no way to reply to that post. So I am making this post.
Below is the method I found, if there is a better method or I have missed something please correct me.
If you navigate to the area in Unity 6 that is just below the asset store you should see a tab that says “Scene” to the right of that you will see 3 vertical dots that are colloquially referred to as the “kebab menu” navigation drawer that houses what I believe is the overflow menu.

Once you left click on that you will be presented with a a drop down menu, the first option of which is “Overlay Menu”
Once you left click on that a popup window of the same name will appear. Below the menu title you will find a checkbox panel to enable the overlay, below that is a dropdown menu and if you ignore both of those you will find a series of view icon toggle switches with names of functions you can enable by simply left clicking on the shadowed-out eyeball view icon button to enable the desired function.

I included visual guides to help illustrate my methods. I hope my efforts will help others as that post was the first returned link on google.I also hope someone can clarify for me why I was unable to reply to the post, or at least a way to determine if a forum thread is locked. Please feel free to also let me know if there is a better way than the one I presented to accomplish this task.
