So whats your opinion ? Do you like the game ?

I haven’t played much yet, but I like it. You did a good job.
Few suggestions so far…

1. Add a description for the controls.
I figured most out but I think some people here aren’t patient and will get frustrated.

Edit: Found controls posted on IndieDB

2. Add mouse support.
It would make movement a lot easier.

3. Add crosshair or increase are where you can use.
Currently it’s very difficult to pick up, or enter dungeon, etc. I have to keep pressing Ctrl and run around until I can go in

Thank you for your feedback

  1. You can also see the controls under the web player demo
  2. Mouse support is planned
  3. You do not have to click items to pick them up you just walk over them

I’ve been working on procedurally generated terrains for a while and have hit a hard bump on guaranteeing connectivity between play areas without compromising the look and feel of the terrain. Good luck with tackling that and if you hit anything promising or want to swap ideas let me know. My best approach currently involves voronoi diagrams and fbm, using the voronoi diagrams to blend paths of connectivity into the map. I’ll check your game out this evening.

Quick reaction - the interface is unintuitive. I’d strongly suggest implementing mouse look and uploading the new build, or else you’ll get a bunch of feedback on something you already know you need to tackle. Along the same lines consider having anything new you pick up display on the screen somewhere and then flash a few times and fade out.

Basically the way the game communicates the status of whats going on is still missing. May be stuff you already know but thats the nature of alpha feedback.

I see the controls now, I didn’t before, sorry. :o

I know this is just pre-alpha and you know this, but I will write it anyway.

It’s getting late so I don’t have more time to play, but I recommend to add mouse support as soon as possible. It’s easy to do and it will help you a lot to get more people to test it. :sunglasses:

@jmatthews
It is still in pre alpha state so the user interface will get better. I have allready planned something like you mentioned. When a player picks up an item the item will be displayed at the right side of the screen, with a little text that tells the player the name of the item and what the item does
I also released a new build which includes Mouse Support(currently set to default until I add a settings Menu)

@Gigabeat

  1. I will try to add more stuff to the rooms in the future (webs,Statues, items, chests, enemys and some plants)
  2. Maybe fixed
  3. Fixed
  4. Fixed
  5. Maybe i will add a GUI to chests instead of dropping the items to the ground. This should fix the bug
  6. Yes i know the effect does not look very good yet. I will try to improve it. Maybe i will also use a sprite instead of Particles

Heaps better. I enjoy the look and feel. You have the texture noise about perfect.

Thanks again for your feedback
If you want to change the Dungeon style just search for another entrance wich are randomly generated in the overworld (would really take some time to swim arround and search for one) or just press P and then click on Reset game(which will delete your save game and inventory contents but you will also get a new Random seed)

That was fun, is the hand 2d, or is it 3d. The camera feels weird though.

wow that art style ties up well, it is similar to what i am working on keep going

Hey, that was fun!

Is this going to be multiplayer?

Your Pixel art textures also look very good

I am not sure if i will implement multiplayer support because i have to implement many other things first like npc villages, enemys, more items and the rune system. But maybe i will add it

Yes the hand is a flat 3D box

I will release a new update soon
This Update will add following things to the game:

  • Drop Items

  • Procedurally generated overworld terrain

  • Random Grass

  • And some other smaller things

thanks this is a pic of my new project (well more of a time waster) its a sci-fi type game

oh with your game it would be cool to build stuff.

Pixel loot raiders aye? Hopefully you didn’t try ripping of my game “Pixel Raiders”. But now a days that’s how the industry works I guess. Still looks nice either way.

looks good keep going

thanks

I did not want to rip of your game. I have never heard of your game before and I also think our Games are very different

thanks
