I’m trying to migrate from Pixyz Plugin 2.0 to 3.0 but I found one problem. When I import the same model (Revit 2023 file) with Pixyz 3.0 the GameObject has a lower amount of submeshes compared to Pixyz 2.0 and I also don’t have all of the materials that I used for the later process.
Here are the details about the mesh of the same GameObject
At the moment the only solution that I found is to set the importer in Debug mode, change “Prefer Alternative Importers” to true and then via Rule Engine merge the final level which gave me the gameObject with all submeshes and materials that I need but the quality of the model is lower compared to 3.0 default importer.
Do you have any idea how I can have all submeshes and materials that are in the Revit model but with 3.0 quality?
Hi @mgvLogix,
This sounds like an issue with our Import/Export stack.
Would you mind sharing your file with us ? You can fill a request following this link. So we could debug our importer with your file to find what’s wrong.
As you suggested I sent the request, unfortunately, I’m not allowed to share the same file that I explained here but my colleague prepared a simple model with similar differences when imported on both Pixyz versions. I tried to explain the differences in the request but if you need more examples we can try to prepare. I hope that will help to improve 3.0
Yes we understand that files are most of the time under NDA. If you are able to recreate a dummy part, or isolate a small part that reproduce the issue it’s perfect.
