Hi,
as title said I a planning to fork current HDRP (as of Unity 6) to fix the nasty bugs / regressions, as Unity does not seem willing or able to support XR on HDRP anymore.
I am searching for others interested in contributing / maintaining, as my time is very limited. I already was able to fix some RTX related bugs in local HDRP, so I can definitely contributed myself, but I am searching for others using XR on HDRP to collaborate with. I would like to host the fixed HDRP version on a public Github repo and keep it in sync with recent Unity 6 releases. Not sure yet if only HDRP needed or whole Graphic package.
List of things to get fixed (likely incomplete):
- SSGI /RTGI not working correctly if HDRP is configured to use camera relative rendering
- Raytraced SSR not working correctly if HDRP is configured to use camera relative rendering
- SSAO not working correctly if HDRP is configured to use camera relative rendering
- APV not working correctly if HDRP is configured to use camera relative rendering (actually this one is supposed to be fixed by Unity)
- DLSS breaks rendering if headset gets activated after starting Unity (there is a workaround, but it should still get fixed)
- Lensflare not working correctly in XR
