I thought I’d post a link here to a tutorial I made for setting up Plastic SCM’s version control system with an Azure Virtual Machine as a remote repository. If you’ve never used version control before, or have been using Git or Mercurial, you may want to check Plastic out, as it’s geared for game development. There’s a great thread here on the forums about version control you may want to browse.
I found a wonderful tutorial here for setting up Plastic with an Amazon EC2 instance, but I couldn’t find one for an Azure VM. Being new to Azure and virtual machines in general, I decided to document the process.
It’s a wall of text with no pics, but hopefully someone (especially BizSpark members) will find it useful. It’s meant for a complete beginner.
