Plastic SCM and Azure Virtual Machine tutorial

Hey Everyone,

I thought I’d post a link here to a tutorial I made for setting up Plastic SCM’s version control system with an Azure Virtual Machine as a remote repository. If you’ve never used version control before, or have been using Git or Mercurial, you may want to check Plastic out, as it’s geared for game development. There’s a great thread here on the forums about version control you may want to browse.

I found a wonderful tutorial here for setting up Plastic with an Amazon EC2 instance, but I couldn’t find one for an Azure VM. Being new to Azure and virtual machines in general, I decided to document the process.

It’s a wall of text with no pics, but hopefully someone (especially BizSpark members) will find it useful. It’s meant for a complete beginner.

Here it is:

I left a comment on the post for anyone having issues with installing the .NET 3.5 Features. If you have an issue installing the feature, just check the link I left in the comment.

I replied to your post in the comments section and added your link to the post. Thank you so much for taking the time to post it for others!
