PlasticSCM - Finding changes in the workspace causing game to freeze in play mode

I’ve been having an annoying issue with PlasticSCM where every time I press play on my game, the PlasticSCM window refreshes itself and says “Finding changes in the workspace,” causing the game window to freeze for a 1-2 seconds. It’s especially distracting because the game runs fine for 2-3 seconds while the PlasticSCM window is clear and the check is running, but when the window shows all the files changed it freezes, disrupting testing/playing the game in play mode.

I’ve gone into the SCM window settings and turned off auto refresh but it hasn’t changed anything as far as I can tell. This also happens even when the window isn’t currently showing. The only way it stops is if I completely close the window out, removing the tab, which I’d like to have if possible.

Is there any way to get rid of the auto refresh? It’s killing me!
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What is your Unity version and Version Control package version?

Could you attach an screenshot of the settings that you are changing?

Regards,
Carlos.

Hello! I’m using 2021.3.8.f1 Apple Silicon version with whatever plastic version came with that (not sure how to check that version, I couldn’t find it in the menus I looked through). This also happened on the Intel Mac version 2021.3.7.f, I just upgraded to a new Mac and this is still happening to me, hence me posting about it.

Attached is the current settings I have on Plastic SCM. Thanks!

Ended up getting this to work again after completely removing/turning off PlasticSCM from unity and then adding it back in. Something else that may have helped was downloading the PlasticSCM client and pushing some changes from that (but may be unrelated).
