Hi.
I have found that there is no Forum for Consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and …
It would be awesome if we have them and we will be able to ask questions about them.
Thanks.

The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. Memes aside these forums do exist but you need permission to access them and said permission is only acquired by becoming a licensed developer for those platforms.
You can see this in action by trying to visit the section dedicated to the Xbox. Without permission you get an error.
So, how do i add support for Consoles for my Assets and Tools?
Development on those platforms is by permission only and puts you behind an NDA, keeping development support and discussions behind closed doors.
To add support for your tools you’ll have to be a licensed developer for that platform and sign the appropriate agreements/documents to get access to the API/SDK. They all have public forms for requesting permission/registering.
Become a licensed developer.

It is kind of a mess if we can’t integrate our tools without becoming a licensed developer.
There should be a way to do this.
How exactly do you expect to make good tools for something you aren’t even qualified/permitted to work on.
Good note, you are right, i need to get both Xbox and PS4 to provide integration.
Thanks.
Remember that you cant do that with the store bought consoles and you still need to register like said above.
On a somewhat related side note, are there any special requirements regarding source code in assets that make use of the console APIs? Are you allowed to just distribute the code that uses them with the asset as normal or are you required to stuff it into a DLL?
Thought I would ask this because the OP has a number of free and open source assets in addition to paid ones.
I haven’t done this myself but I’m pretty certain the answer is no - they’re not going to allow the developer content to be redistributed publicly.
I agree that there is a massively missed opportunity for console platforms to work in a more streamlined way with indie devs. Feel free to try to convince Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to adopt more modern business processes. Until then, you will need to jump through their hoops if you want to develop for their console platforms.
