Play Scene / Build & Run Scene In Unity Player Broken?

Hi,

In current version of Unity3D on Linux(Kubuntu 18.04 64Bit LTS)
both the play scene button and build & run scene in Unity player are broken?
(play scene does nothing, and build & run has terrible graphic artifacts?)

Will this be fixed in the next Linux version?
Thanks!

Jesse

Any additional information? You know, screenshots, videocard, driver version…

Ok:

  • Kubuntu 18.04 64Bit LTS Linux OS
  • AMD FX 4GHz 8-core CPU
  • 32GB RAM
  • nVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 GPU
    (proprietary nVidia graphics driver v390.77)
  • Western Digital 1TB HDD

Are other 3D applications working well? Can you test it on another PC? If you have no another Linux PC, you may build just the first (menu) scene and post it here, so me or somebody else could test it on their’s ones.

Everything on the Linux desktop is 100%.
(I can run Doom4 in a window)

We really need a solution to this.
We can’t test without the above working.
(and we ain’t going to run Windows 10 natively!)

My current work-around is to build for Windows(R) and run the EXE in Linux WINE.
(this is ridiculous!)

Well, I’ve built and ran native Linux version (did not install support for webgl build), all works on my laptop without any artifact. Unity 2018.2.2f1

Can you provide an editor or player log from a session that shows the artifacts?
