PlayClipAtPoint cuts off sound fx

Hi all,

just wondered why soundfx get cut off when using this -

AudioSource.PlayClipAtPoint(shootclip, transform.position);

I think i heard that playclipatpoint creates an object, plays a sound, then deletes it, but is there any way to say "wait x seconds before deleting the object" ??
