I ve created a player character for multiplayer fps to be used as fps player instead of default sphere. He is around 1.8m tall (so it is average human size) but in unity from default fps view he seems kind of small. Should I scale him to be bigger or just lower the camera ?
Drop a capsule in the scene next to the character to see how they match up. If it is about the same, don’t worry. If it is really different, scale the character up to about the same size. While Unity doesn’t really care too much about scale, it is much easier to work with their default size.
thx for help, btw is there a way (and should I ? ) to apply changed scale as default
You can set the Scale Factor in the Import Settings of the model. This will change the default so any prefabs you make from them will not need to be changed. However if you already have prefabs, it used to mess up the animations. They may have fixed that issue, but I don’t know as I set the scale now before I make any prefabs.
