Player slips off animated objects

I am making a 3D platformer, and of course I need some moving platforms. I used the animator component, which sadly causes the platform to just slip out from under the player. Without making a script for the exact motion of hundreds of platforms, what methods can I use to keep a player on a moving platform?

You should be able to detect the player landing on the platform and then set the platform as the player’s parent. Then when the player moves off the platform just un-parent the player from the platform again.
This should make the movement of the player relative to the platform.

This should work nicely as long as you don’t rotate or scale the platform in the animation…
