Player steps onto Characters. Collider issue?

My player automatically steps on the heads of other game characters instead of walking up to them and stopping. Its rather awkward. I just want the player to stop when it reaches a character, to start dialogue. There's two colliders in a character. One is a capsule collider that is the hood of their clothing. The other is a very large box for dialogue, more than 3 times the size of the character.

Its a very basic game, but I am using the Kimmons dialogue generator, which attaches dialogue to the box colliders that surround the game objects. I also have an inventory script that keeps track of items gained. Everything is javascript. It is a First person game. The slope limit is currently 35 on characterMotor.

Alright! I fixed it! I simply got rid of the colliders in the body of the character and then added a very tall capsule collider to the group that contains all parts of the character. Now it is too tall to stand on! Thanks, Me!
