I’ve been having this issue for the past few days where if I start up Unity for the day, and immediately enter playmode, nothing happens. The game is frozen.
However, if I turn off playmode and say, just select a game object in the hierarchy (without even doing anything else), then go back to playmode, it will run normally.
Anybody have insight on what might be happening here?
I’m using the 2022.5.15 version and it is pretty bad freezes on play even with the quality on low, I think that’s why they say it takes three years to make a game is to get unity to play nice. When u only have three hours a night and unity acts up wow how can I get any thing done, seems like the more they try to do the worse it gets( that’s the reason I’m here on the posts cause it’s stuck on play now, going on five minutes bummer)but that’s unity engine
I Remember from years ago it always crashing
Say a new project in
project settings/physics/simulation mode ( is set to script by default but needs to be on fixed update for rigid body’s to work like normal
So not sure about the default settings anymore
[I deleted the Unity profiler in the Packages and
(It deleted the packages that jam it up) blam worked alot better and didn’t freeze so much it’s the Unity default packages that jam it up if anything it’s easier to reinstall at build time ] had to force quit three times before deleting the packages and after that worked a lot better
