Hi there! After some time off, I’m finally going to be able to purchase an Android phone which I plan to make games on. The thing is, I’m very new when it comes to mobile phones. My knowledge about them is very outdated. What I need to know is what brand or model of Android phone I should be looking for that would go well with developing games using Unity 4.3.
I tried to research earlier but I was flooded with all sorts of Android models and brands and it just left me confused. I asked some people and someone recommended me this:

A Moto G Android phone. Do you think that’s good enough to develop games on? If I make a decently optimized simple game and it works on that, it should also work in every other brand or model of Android phones right?
Anyway in short:
-
I’m only planning to buy an Android phone for the purpose of developing games for it. I don’t need contracts and other aesthetic things/extras that have no relation when it comes to playing games on the Android phone.
-
My budget is around the $200 mark, but I’d be willing to spend a little more if it means that the performance of the Android phone I’ll be getting is similar to what a lot of Android phone owners have (because in the end, I want them to be playing my games).
Thanks in advance, and yes, when it comes to mobile phones, you can say I’m still stuck in the stone age
