I want to make my own skybox. so i just down load some sky texutures. but when i put it to the material. it seems not very real i don’t know why .please help .thx you very much.
would you tell how to make the six textures of the skybox.? thank you very much.
Skyboxes are deceptively complex. Using the skybox in Unity is easy if you can get good finished images. Making your own images are very difficult. You really need to put the images into a 3D environment and then re-render them back from - say a sphere - into the 6 images by using a nodal camera with a 90* fov. Easier said than done.
If someone has an easy pipeline, I’d love to hear it. I can tile flat textures in PS no problem. I can “tile” a sky - but getting it set up and then rendered back down to 6 images with the proper perspective and no seams… (almost) priceless if someone can show it.
