These are the correct instructions.

Find your app’s licence key

  • Open Play Console and select the app that you want to find the licence key for.
  • Go to the Monetisation setup page (Monetise > Monetisation setup).
  • Your licence key is under ‘Licensing’.

This window will be going away soon, but thanks for the heads up. So you know, this key is not needed for IAP to operate correctly, it’s only used for IAP reporting on your Unity dashboard.

That “soon” is probably at least 6 months away.
In the meantime thousands of people keep being misinformed and chasing their tail.

You should provide the correct information until it goes away.

Also provide the information you just shared with me about its necessity.
It is in red, looks like an error, appears important and required.
