My publish asset name is “VR Player”,rejected by this reason, could you tell me why?

Submission unfit

We don’t feel this package is a good fit for the store. We have chosen not to publish this asset. However, we greatly appreciate the time and effort spent in preparing your submission.

  1. After registering as a Publisher, you received an email invitation to the closed section of Discussion for Asset Store Publishers. Here you can find information about sales, experiences, and so on. This will be a right place to get a faster support.

  2. Also, you didn’t provide any Photo/Video of your asset to provide a qualified answer here. It’s possible that your asset have a small value. You can add some value, features, and so on, to provide a more useful asset for the community. There is also an Asset Store section in Unity support that describes such case.

  3. You can also ask your question when you submit the asset. You will have a special field for this: “Notes” or something like that. You can add one more small feature and resubmit the asset, and ask here on what’s wrong.

  4. I also published a free comprehensive manual for Asset Store publishers. Hope you will find it useful.

Usually you get rejected with “asset is too simple”.

I don’t know what constitutes an “unfit” reason. I did get them when I told the reviewers to ignore the asset because I was still working on it. So it seems like even worse than “too simple”.

You did not get any more details in the mail? If not, you have to assume that your asset may simply not be a good fit for the target audience. By its name alone it sounds pretty generic. Perhaps you weren’t following so many of the guidelines that the reviewer didn’t bother explain them back to you.

Did you do market research? Because the asset you created may be just like others, with one being so good and feature complete that nobody needs another one doing only a fraction of what the existing assets do.

Did you research what the Unity VR/XR packages and the VR headset SDKs have to offer? Because what you created perhaps exists already and gets provided to every user by default.
