Pluralsight/Digital Tutors -- anybody else use this?

I take courses for Maya and photoshop cc from pluralsight.com. Real high quality instructions, hundreds of hours of well-planned courses, and its only about $30 a month. Not bad.

Anybody else use this? Or something similar? I had done some Unity courses on Coursera, but I found those to be lacking compared to many other resources.

I’ve used Lynda in the past for a couple Unity and Avid courses.
I think they are pretty high quality.
I’ve also taken a couple Udemy courses on Unity. Lower quality but worth the discounted prices I purchase at.

I’ve used Pluralsight. I thought that the C# tutorials were awesome, the Unity and artistic tutorials were more hit or miss. I’ve also spent a lot of time with Safaribooksonline which was really good as well but those are mostly books. My local library has subscriptions to Safaribooksonline and Lynda so I have free access to those.

I’ll have to check my library for those. Thanks for the info.

I haven’t really used anything outside of what’s freely available on the net, but I’ll definitely keep an eye on this thread for inspiration.

Holy cats, I had no idea that lynda had agreements with libraries. I just checked to see if my local library has a lynda membership and it sure does. This is radical, thanks!

About a year or so ago, we had a subscription to pluralsite to evaluate it, and it had some great stuff for things like Maya, but the unity stuff was horribly out of date, much was actually broken. The official unity learn stuff is vastly superior (and up to date). That was a while ago, they may have updated it, but at the time I couldn’t recommend it.

I have saved most of the Unity courses for later on pluralsight, but I think most of them were dated from 2015 and before. I think there was like one Unity 5 specific course.
Like you said, all the Maya stuff is fantastic and up to date. There is one course about the general asset production pipeline specific to Unity, so maybe even if a bit dated that could be useful to a beginner like myself.

Pluralsight is great. I use it to catch up on all my general programming and web dev skills.

There still doesn’t seem to be an advanced Unity course though. I’ve always wanted to make a course one day, so that might be a good candidate. Will need to get some technical reviewers and feedback on it though.
