Point & Click Animation

Hello I am currently trying to get some animations working for my point & click game.
beeing new to animations I ran into a few problems.

I would like to know how I could prevent this from happening and how I could control 2 simple animations via script (Walk & Idle)

Im not able to help but can suggest the gif doesnt provide enough detail on what exactly the problem is.
What is happening that you dont want to happen, and what do you want to happen?
