So I put down a plane as a floor and imported a Maya mb file for walls. Then I started trying to place point lights around the different rooms. It was working just fine until I got to certain rooms. The point lights won’t even illuminate the floor in some rooms.
I don’t get it because the plane was something I made in Unity. And it doesn’t matter if the plane has a texture or not or if I move the working point light to a dark spot–nothing. The point lights just refuse to work in some areas. Also, when I play the level, it’s mostly dark in those spots but the light flickers on sometimes as I walk for a split second.
I don’t even know where to start with this problem. Any direction? Thanks.
It always help posting an image along with such issues. Make sure to show your settings in screenshots as well. It’s hard to diagnose without seeing what’s going on
Because of the total number of lights? The lights on the left are compounding on one another. (The walls make no difference because shadows aren’t on.)
Okay yeah you must be right about the compounding issue. I just found it really strange that some weren’t showing up at all at the beginning. Are default settings not okay then? Or is it something about my level?
