I’m trying to create a point light with dcent shadows, however, after not very much distance, even when set to 4096, the shadow looks pretty terrible:
Appreciate that the light is overblown, but I’m just trying to get the shadows to extend - I have a custom shader I am trying to use with it’s own lighting, but these jaggies won’t cut it
Even with the light set at a range of 23units and at a height of 1.8units I am getting these jaggies, the raised tile is only about 10m from the light source.
I don’t recall seeing games with such issues. What am I doing wrong here or is this the state of play?
Any thoughts would be welcome. My understanding is that cascades don’t work for spot light shadows and I’ve changed draw distance to like 20m and messed with verious settings, but this is as good as it gets it seems…
