point to object

In my objects Awake function i have this:

	bounds = renderer.bounds;

Should not bounds from then on point towards renderer.bounds?

Classes are by reference, but structs are by value, and ‘Bounds’ is a struct. That means your assignment is getting copy of ‘renderer.bounds’ rather than a reference to it. This is true for other structs in Unity such as Vector3 and Color. I used to be that the reference page for various Classes would indicate if they were a ‘struct’, but a quick check just now indicated they have changed the formatting for the reference pages and have removed this information.
