Poker Queen! Sketch to Real-Time.

I just wanted to show this Character Design 2 Real-Time I created. Its kinda rushed, but I am happy with it enough to show. I plan on using this Character in a little game I am planing on making.

Nice model. Careful of your UV mapping, its easy to see on the leg and arms where some patches of the skin are darker than others.

You might also want to raise her right hip joint a little. Her femur looks broken O.o

Yeah, I did notice that the hip joints where two low, I may have to fix that and re-skin it… and maybe add some more edge loops in the arm joints.
Rigging takes about as long as modeling the whole 3D model. I know why its a job profession in itself, its very time consuming.
The lights make the skin look strange some times, but the UVs and texture are pretty smooth, it looks fine when I take out the high contrast lights in the shot.

I will include updates here when I have them.

Great concept art and model!

Not sure if it is my non-existent graphics card (intel integrated), but I get some glitches around the eyes and mouth… maybe too much detail in those areas for that distance?

Also, there is a visible seam around her neck/collar bones. You could hide that by moving the seam up to he edge of the cloth (assuming there is an edge loop there).

I think a bump map on her head ornament would be nice to add more detail, too.

Well, I think the hips are much improved, I moved the hip bones up abit.

Yeah, I should have cut the neck near the collar, its a little low, I may have to try and re-work it if I have the time.

Head ornament dose need more detail.

Nice work!.. I’ve been thinking about producing some sort of realtime model viewer for my portfolio.

Just out of curiosity, what is the poly count? and do you have a wireframe render?

Hey, the tris count was around 1500. The quads are shown in this shot, quads were less, but of course Unity converts these to tris on import.

See can now Walk, Run, and Jump. Still work in progress however.

Amazing images! Good work :slight_smile: Unfortunately, it also makes my firefox crash. Happens when Unity web player finishes loading. FF 3.0.3 on OSX 10.5.5.

Mine too…Why do you think this would happen? I have the default code for the web player, or is it something on my page crashing the webplayer? I will have to test this out…

This is just her templorary october enviroment untill I design a real one.

She now can walk, but having some idle animation merging in…and see also runs, but I might redo that animation…
