Pop up titles

Hi folks,

Working on a mobile game and looking to add “Good Job!” etc as a pop up after level completion.

My question, what’s the best approach? I would personally get better results from animating externally in Adobe CS and bringing it in, but is it better to animate everything in Unity itself? What’s the trade offs with size, quality, optimization etc?

Thank you
J

if you animate in unity you will save on space/ram, since there are less frames of animation. Thats it, maybe you can make better animations in adobe if you have more skill in adobe than in unity

Animate it is easiest, otherwise if you want control of it, use a tweener like DOTWeen / LeanTween.

Otherwise don’t fret about “best approach” at this stage. Make it happen, move on. Unity on modern hardware is a BEAST.

Okiedokie, thank you very much.

I guess I’ll have a play with bring them in as a sprite/spritesheet then!
