Porting / exporting to Tizen?

I have a moderately successful app:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nutcracker-musical-storybook/id479780161?mt=8

that I have been asked to port to Tizen platform. There is no current way to export to Tizen. I see two ways:

  1. pay a programmer to write a plugin that will allow for exporting to .tpk (Tizen app) from Unity (is this even possible without Unity source code???)

  2. pay a programmer to re-write the entire app without Unity for Tizen (apparently an HTML5 platform)

Does anyone want to hazard a guess to how much it would cost in freelancing work to pay a programmer and an artist to re-code and transfer all the animations etc to a new natively-coded platform?

Ballpark guessing is welcome, I have no idea what to expect or who to ask.

Thanks!!

For more info on Tizen:

This is apparently an up-and-coming app platform for mobile devices and tablets.

Nobody has a worst case scenario opinion on this?

You could try exporting your Unity app for Android, then use OpenMobile’s ACL for Tizen to run it on Tizen.

According to who?

According to the people who are offering to pay me to port it - isn’t that a good enough reason?

That looks promising, but I can’t figure out if it will take an apk and wrapper it (that would be awesome) or if it needs native Android code to work from. If the latter, it isn’t any help to me since I am building my apk from Unity (right?)

Samsung, who are dropping support for Bada in favour of Tizen.

Unity are going to support Tizen through Union, but that might be suitable for the original poster’s needs.

Union is Unity’s way of bringing a small subset of high quality games to emerging platforms.

So unless Unity pick your game to be part of this “Union” thing it won’t be supported? That’s not good enough, if Tizen gains traction then Unity will need to build to it natively.
