does anyone know if unity works on ubuntu or should i keep a copy of windows as a second os to run this sort of thing? i ask mostly cause i know max and maya may not run on ubuntu but then i have never acctualy used a secondary os. this is a new experiance for me as i have always been adamant about windows. i pulled back from vista to xp again due to the fact that vista keeps crashing from the update that messed up so many people with a 7600 nvidia series cards. given the fact that microsoft has never really put out a fix for the problem they caused im acctualy concitering moveing away from it.
they charge so much for there os but dont really care about there user base anymore so im going to try out a new os. maybe ill like it. acctualy thinking about picking up a mac for my next computer if i ever upgrade. tho i know they dont really support alot of games it may be more stable then windows. tho i am also looking at windows 7.
anyway back to the original question. anyone know anything about ubuntu and if unity works with it or not.
