Hi everybody. Since I am waiting on approvals to use all the things I am using in the app I take the time to give you a glimpse on what I am cooking.
I’d really love to hear some feedback.
Here is video of the app in action: VIDEO
And a not so perfect webpage: SITE
The idea was to create a manager for precious metals (like gold, silver etc.) since the ones in the app store are either gold specific or simply don’t have a calculator that can show the value of the metals you actually own.
Since it’s based on a 3D engine the interface is a rotating karusell. You can also hold the finger on a coin and it will switch to a closeup where you can assign new textures or simply rotate the coin (so much fun).
Features:
Quotes for Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium
Various charts
Managing of your coins (how many of which sorts)
Various Currencies
If buying price (invested money) of the metals is entered it calculates your +/- quota.
Customization of the coinsBesides the obviously 3D parts, I used the GUI commands only. I think you can make a nice 2D game by just using them, they are really neat
The screenshots look nice (and a big plus is that you didn’t use the default Unity GUI, which way too many people do, thus ruining the look of their apps), but I have no knowledge of this subject so I can’t say any more.
An interesting use of Unity. I don’t think that interactive 3d has been fully realized outside of the entertainment industry yet. It’s nice to see someone venturing out. It looks like it works well. Nice job!
Thanks everybody for the nice words.
It just got approved, I can’t believe it, how cool is that. If everything works it will be online by the 1. January 2010.
Definetely will post some promo codes (it’s an expensive app, I didn’t want to mess with the other companies products and decided to keep with the flow, I don’t like the idea of that 0.99$ dumping)
This is so exciting, hope people will like it, it’s like putting his baby in the harsh world of consumers, brrr, cold out there.
