Yo all,
I am struggling like hell to make my app done for distributing, i am following the:
iOs developer program user guide standard program v2.7
that don’t matches at all my xCode version, as now i know that we can use xCode 4. How can i do when
the explanations are made with xCode 3.2.5 ?
I am talking to the new comers in the dev land like me : how did you learn how to submit ?
Will somebody make a unity xCode tutorial ?
how can i reach this in xCode 4 ???
from the user guide):
7.In the project window, select the Distribution Active Configuration from the overview popup and set the Active SDK to the desired Device.

Paradoks
Interesting to see that nobody cares about this kind of topic…
Guys, where did you learn to make and submit your apps ?
Unity team : could you please think about noobs like me, and make a little step by step please ?
i succeed to make my game, to learn the programing and i am stuck at the last stage…
is anybody there ?
Paradoks,
stay calm… you will get nothing if you get nervous. You’ll have to read the documentation and specially :
https://developer.apple.com/appstore/resources/submission/
I downloaded “iTunes Connect Developer Guide” and follow step by step from this to submit my app
youhouuu I am not alone anymore.
Guys, thank you for your presence.
My problem is not the iTunes connect thing but what to do from when i first launch my app on device to when i send my app via xCode
i followed a bunch of tutorial found here and there, but no i got an error when i try to validate the archive from within the xCode 4:
No suitable application records were found
So i dont know anymore what to do, because my app is waiting for upload at iTunes Connect…
As i said before, i followed a bunch of tutorials so i dont know at all where could be my mistake.
Once you have built (switch to Distribution mode, means you have a certificate for distribution), you have to compress your app (right-click and compress) and upload this app using the “Application Loader”. To be able to load your app, you must go on iTunes connect and “declare” your app. It has to be “ready to upload”.
the main problem you could have is to declare your certificate for distribution, download it, load it into your keychain and change the setup of your app to use this certificate (it signs your app for distribution).
Give it a try.
ciaravoh are you on xCode 4 ?
no. the only difference I see is that on xCode 4, the compress option is embedded. If I were you, I would just compress through the finder.
Hi paradoks, I’m at the same step than you, I think we could help each other.
I spend an entire afternoon to submit my app, and I just get an invalid signature error.
First create the 2 distribution certificates, one for your compagny (or you) and one for your application. Download them and execute them.
You don’t have to zip anymore (xcode4)
If you want to send your app, just open Xcode, then in the menu click on “archive”, when finished, click on send, sign in, then choose your certificate, then it will upload. Hope it will help you
Hi FranckSitbon,
Actually, I allready sent my package twice for now, first time I got rejected because of the “all-load”.
Now i am “in review” since 6 days, i am dying waiting.
If you are still looking how to submit, just ask, I would be glad to help you if i can.
I was first rejected cause I forgot to change the certificate to distribution in stead of developer, I had to do it twice, one in Xcode and one in Xcode archive sending process, (rejected in the hour, wonder if it was a bot). Now I’m also waiting for review since 2 days
Let me know how much days it took for you.
Yo FranckSitbon,
My app is ready to sell on the app store since wednesday morning, it too 7 days from the “in review”!
here is the app link if you want to see:
http://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/fast-...444441441?mt=8
Good luck to you.
The first review is always a little bit longer. the last one I did took only 1 day.
http://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/je-quitte-cette-societe/id434121434?mt=8
There’s a lot of Prime31 plugin in there (facebook - native plugin).
Hi, mine took 5 days
Here is the link http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mr-grizzly-et-ses-merveilleuses/id446381948?mt=8&ls=1
Strange thing, final app size is not the same than one in build directory 76Mo in stead of 300Mo
Can’t go to your app Paradoks, I get an error from iTunes perhaps it’s not released in France ?
How does the website link and screenshots get submitted with the app.
Is there a template? Do you make a website on something like godaddy.com and then link to it.
I am almost ready. The website and screenshots are the last step for me.
Mona_tony:
you submit your screenshots from within itunes connect when you manage your app.
